Since the Spanish American War, United States, troops have been used to protect business ventures and open new markets, new sources of raw materials or new goods to sell.

The Doughboys of the First World War marched to France to defend Democracy, but what they were really sent to France to defend were American trading interests, why else would they be sent to Russia on the side of the White Army during the Russian Revolution. We weren’t at war with Russia, but troops landed and fought regardless.

After the First World War, President Wilson attempted to form the League of Nations; a group so antithetical to the American ideal that congress would not accept it nor would they ratify the Treaty signed by Wilson. It wasn’t until a generation later, after the Second World War that the American people were willing to saddle themselves with treaties tying them to the United Nations and the idea of a global world.

However, because of the World Peace Mission of the United Nations, the United States has been involved in a never-ending cycle of combat. Prior to the United Nations, after a war, the Belligerents would retire from the field and a period of peace would descend over the land allowing everyone to return to normal. Since the formation of the United Nations though, War has become the Norm; Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Iran, Iraq, Grenada, Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia, Somalia, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, etc., etc., etc…

Now though the American Soldier isn’t fighting for Truth, Justice and the American way, they aren’t even being sent to die for money, except for the money generated in producing ammunition and material to be destroyed in combat. That the American Soldiers are also consumed by the never-ending, never satiated War Machine, does not even cross the minds of the politician and businessman making their fortunes fleecing the American Taxpayers.
